Suzin Stockton has been teaching and writing about "contextual factors" that influence our health since 1988 when she began teaching her Health Care Alternatives classes through the adult education section of the public school system in Tampa, Florida, USA. In the years that followed, she would teach a variety of holistic health classes, both to laymen and health care professionals and author many books and articles on the subject. Her first book, The Book of Health, was an outgrowth of her teaching activities. That book was later rewritten as The Terrain is Everything.
Her own chronic health problems prompted Suzin to embark upon an intensive quest for information and solutions starting in 1983. With a solid foundation in nutritional studies and a master's degree in Rehabilitation Studies, she began her search. The high point of that quest came in the winter of 1987, which she spent on the island of Maui attending a series of naturopathic health seminars. During this period of time Suzin lived in a tent in the rainforest away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. This "time out" from the demands and pressures of everyday living had a profound effect upon her, giving a new sense of purpose. Upon her return to the mainland, she began her work in the alternative health field.
Her quest for causes and solutions to her health problems ultimately led Suzin
into the dental arena. Through her research and own health struggles, she came
to realize the relationship between oral and overall health. Specifically, she
uncovered one of dentistry's best-kept secrets: the insidious effect that tooth
extractions as they're routinely performed (and other routine dental procedures)
can have upon the jawbone and subsequently upon the entire body. Suzin explores
this phenomenon of "jawbone cavitations" in detail in her popular book,
Beyond Amalgam.
The revised edition of this classic work is now available through Power of One
Publishing. In it the reader may discover the hidden cause of his or her
difficult-to-diagnose and cure health problems.
While her passion has long been for alternative medicine,
Suzin earned her living for many years in the fields of social service and
education. As a counselor, she always worked in conventional setting, but
nonetheless viewed the problems of her clients from a holistic perspective and
took a progressive approach toward solving them. Her book,
Alcohol Addiction & Attention Deficit Disorder: Drug-Free Alternatives,
addresses the biochemical aspects of two problems commonly regarded as
“psychological.” While these two conditions are treated separately in different
sections of the book, the connecting factor is the biochemical imbalances they
share. This book, like all of Suzin's writings, contains vital but little-known
information that the reader can use to help him or herself.
The revised edition of Dynamic Healing through NeuroCranial Restructuring is now available. This book examines the structural component of health, emphasizing the key role played by the shape and positioning of the skull. NCR, a specific cranial manipulation technique, is examined in detail, as well as its ability to influence the course of many diverse ailments.
In 2005, Suzin released the informative full-color booklet, Fluoridation: How and Why Does it Happen?, originally written (under another title) as part of her community’s unsuccessful efforts to stop the fluoridation of Pinellas County.
Suzin currently resides in central Florida, where she is self-employed as a publisher and ghostwriter.
